About ICA

I am ICA, short for Scholastica,

Born and raised in Pampanga. A second-generation Kulasa. We often hear people asking, "What's in a name?" Growing up, I would often hear my mom's tales of why I was named after her alma mater's patron saint and how she wanted me to experience the same Benedictine education and ideals that played a crucial foundation in her being.

I am ICA.

Independent but a team player,

Compassionate, kind, and peace-loving,

Achiever through hard work and prayer.

ICA is of Greek and Swedish origin, meaning “LIGHT”. True to my name, be like a bright shining light as we all become a beacon of God’s light to others. As we are taught to always act in serenity and to see the good in all things and find beauty in all forms.

ICA, in the local dialect (Capampangan), also means “YOU”. To fellow Scholasticans, will you allow yourselves to reminisce about the “ICA” that you once knew? The ICA that was instilled long before and the one epitome of a Kulasa within you?

Again, my name is ICA. I AM ONE PROUD KULASA!

About BEN

I am BEN, short for Benedict meaning "Blessed".

Born and raised in Pampanga.

A second generation Kulasa.

Ica's twin brother.

Ica has always been the more popular one. Since you probably know my sister, perhaps you might recall our mother's desire of letting us experience the same quality education and ideals rooted in the values of Ora Et Labora.

I am BEN.

Benevolent, Brave, Big- Hearted and Blessed Enthusiastic, Excellence-driven but Emphatic

Noble, Nurturing and Neighborly.

BEN comes from the Hebrew origin meaning "SON". True to my name, I am a son to my father and my family. However, each of us is also called to bravely traverse life not only thinking of ourselves but also others in a caring, dignified and enriching way.

But let me end this introduction saying, let us all strive to be a blessing (BENdisyon) to each other!

Again, my name is BEN!

Together with ICA, we are loud and proud Scholasticans!
